The foundation stone was laid by President of Delta Holding Miroslav Miskovic and President of Stara Pazova Municipality Djordje Radinovic.

The new centre, the investment of Company Delta Real Estate, is worth the total of 10.2 million euros. The construction is scheduled to finish in January 2015, when the centre will become part of Delta Transportation System, a company operating within Delta Holding and providing logistic and transport services.

The Centre is located on 10-hectare plot. In the first stage it will have the surface of 20.370 m2 while in the second stage it will be expanded by another 14.500 m2 of storage space.

“Delta continues investing: last year our Crowne Plaza Hotel was the largest investment in Serbia; earlier this year we began the construction of the refrigerator at Podunavlje Estate in Celarevo, while today we are beginning the construction of the most modern distribution-logistics centre”, said Dejan Jeremic, Delta Holding Executive Vice President for Operations: “With these investments we confirm the ability of domestic economy to persist and develop in extremely difficult conditions. We are particularly pleased that our new centre in its full capacity will also bring Serbia 400 new workplaces.

Located on the site that links key roads, Distribution-logistics centre will have 26,000 pallets of different temperature systems (from -20 to + 25°C). With the capacity to receive and distribute more than 3,000 pallets of goods a day, DC will serve a network of 15,000 customers throughout Serbia every day.
